Most important/influential True Crime documentary/podcast etc? Or ones that done something new?

I’m currently working on a dissertation regarding True Crime as a genre and I wanna see what do people believe to be the most important/influential piece of media for the genre or the society? I know Making a Murderer from Netflix can be credited with the modern true crime Boom, and the podcast Serial broke iTunes records, and can also be credited with the boom for TC podcasts. There was also a documentary in the 80s that was the first time that cameras were allowed into death row – do you know of any other documentaries etc, that were either influential to the genre, society or have done something for the first time?
